Limited-edition NFT-token jerseys for the Warsaw Eagles' 25th anniversary

To mark the Warsaw Eagles' 25th anniversary, we have teamed up with hummel to create a limited edition of commemorative jerseys. They are special not only for their unique design, but also thanks to NFT (Non-Fungible Token) technology, provided by Uniqly.io

Each of these remarkable jerseys will have its own unique digital twin in the form of an NFT token. But that's not all. NFT token holders will get access to a range of exclusive benefits. The first is free entry to all sporting events organised by the Warsaw Eagles: the jersey linked to the NFT token works as a season ticket for the whole of 2024. That covers both regular-season and play-off games.

Further benefits that come with the jersey include discounts in the hummel store throughout the season and 25% off Warsaw Eagles merchandise on game days. We are also working on more special offers that will be available to anniversary jersey holders. The limited-edition NFT-token jerseys are available to pre-order only until 1 March and cost 159 PLN. Jerseys can be collected at the first home game of the season on 6 April.

How the jerseys work

To make the most of your jersey's benefits, simply hold your phone to the NFC tag on the jersey. A browser will open on your smartphone. Then enter a "Nick" (username) and your email address. The next step is to tap the "Mint NFT" button. You can now enjoy the full benefits of your digital jersey. Digital jerseys are a completely secure solution thanks to NFT tokens. One physical jersey corresponds to one token.

The NFT token is a certificate of authenticity, so no one can counterfeit the jersey, and its owner can safely enjoy the benefits linked to it. The NFC tags on the jersey are also properly protected against copying, to prevent unauthorised access to their contents.
