WE Juniors Report – Lowlanders get the better of the Eagles in the junior season finale

Last Saturday the Eagles juniors played their final game of this year's PFLJ campaign. The clash in Białystok, which decided which side would finish with a 2-2 record, went the way of the hosts.

To close out the PFLJ regular season, our U19 team travelled to Białystok to take on the local Lowlanders. The Białystok side are an experienced outfit with a junior Polish championship to their name from the 2021 season. Many of their young players already feature in the senior squad and go toe-to-toe with the best players in the country.

We knew it wouldn't be easy, but we were the first to get on the board, opening up a six-point lead. Stung by conceding so early, the hosts hit back straight away and the scoreboard read 7:6 to the Lowlanders. We knew the Lowlanders had their weak spots, but they quickly cranked up the tempo and stretched their lead to 34:6 by half-time.

The last points of the game came in the fourth quarter. The hosts added two more touchdowns to make the final score 48:6. That result ended our hopes of finishing the 2025 season with a level record. We finish fourth in the North group with a 1-3 record.

Despite the defeat, we once again gained plenty of valuable experience and showed that in the future we can compete with the best junior teams in Poland. We were the first to score and had some good moments. The winter and the pre-season build-up to the senior campaign will be the ideal time to analyse this season's mistakes and turn our on-field experience into better play and chemistry.

Now it's time for a well-earned rest, but we'll be back at work very soon. Keep a close eye on the Warsaw Eagles website and our social channels so you don't miss any news about tryouts and the Eagles' projects.

Thank you for your support in the 2025 season!
